[Important Notice] Discontinuation of "SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card"

As we informed you earlier in our letter as of May, 2017, we regret to inform you that SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card will be discontinued as of August 15, 2017.

With this termination, you will not be able to use your SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card from August 16, 2017 regardless of the expiration date embossed on your credit card.

Please refer to the following information for the details related to the service discontinuation.

Things to be confirmed and procedures to be followed

From August 16, 2017, you will not be able to use your card even if it is before the expiration date.
You do not have to do anything to terminate your membership. Please cut the magnetic tape of your credit card with scissors for security purpose.

*If you wish to terminate your membership before August 15, 2017, please contact us through our Call Center or Club Online Message Box.

If you have any recurring charges registered with SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card,
Please ensure to change your registration in advance before the termination date (August 15, 2017).

If you have any recurring charges registered with SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card, such as mobile phone, internet provider or utilities, please notify them to change your future payment method.


Q&A : Discontinuation of "SuMi TRUST CLUB Cash Back Card"

  Can I use Club Online after the last day of the service (August 15, 2017)?

Club Online in general, including viewing of the transaction history, will not be available. However, if you are registered to an e-statement, you will be able to continue viewing your e-statement.

  If I have an outstanding balance as of the last day of the service (August 15, 2017), do I have to pay off the balance in full?

You do not have to pay off the outstanding balance in one lump-sum amount. For the revolving payment, one-time pay at bonus time, payment in two installments, payment in multiple installments and card loan, you will be able to make payments as before, even after August 15, 2017. Please call our Call Center if you wish to make a lump-sum advance payment. However, if you wish to terminate your membership on or before August 15, 2017, you will be requested to pay off the outstanding balance in one lump-sum after you terminate your membership.

  What will happen to the cash back refund through Cash Back Program after the last day of the service (August 15, 2017)?

The cash back refund will be made as follows.

Monthly Cash Back: The refund will be calculated based on the total payment due on your August statement. This will be the final Monthly Cash Back.

Annual Bonus Cash Back:The refund (*1) will be calculated based on the total spending data we receive from merchants during the period between the first month of the calculation period (*2) and August 17, 2017 (the closing date for sales data).

(*1) Even if your spending amount does not reach 500,000 yen during the calculation period, the refund in cash back will be made this time according to your spending.
(*2) The first month for the calculation period is the "Month" based on the "Month/Year" which is the expiration date embossed on the credit card.

Cash Back (Refund):

Monthly Cash Back will be refunded to your registered direct debit account in October, 2017, following the announcement in the September 2017 statement. Annual Bonus Cash Back will be refunded to your registered direct debit account in November 2017, following the announcement in the October 2017 statement. Please note that the refund will be available only if your bank account is valid for the direct debit at that time.

The maximum cash back amount per year is 30,000 yen. The carry-over amount less than 1,000 yen will not be refunded.


*The refund will be made as follows if you terminate your membership on or before August 15, 2017.

Monthly Cash Back: The refund will be made based on the card spending data we receive from merchants until the closing date prior to the terminating your membership.

Annual Bonus Cash Back: The refund will be made based on the card spending data we receive from merchants during the period between the first month of the calculation period and the first closing date after terminating your membership.
